just love Raajneeti,Prakash Jha has Struck gold with this film .The man known for his hard-hitting,dark films has seen light by making a commercially viable film that caters to the masses as well.While most people were concentraining on Katrina's acting skills, I fell in love with Arjun Rampal.He was hot or what?I will bindly vote for any politicians who looks like him in real life.Rarely do I cry in a movie,but this one time,I made an exception when his character got blown into tiny pieces.Though Arjun was my favourite,Ranbir too was fab.The one who disappointed me was Ajay Devagan.He acted alright,but what I don't understand is why he agreed to play Manoj Bajpal's sidekick in the film?You make such a silly career move and then get upset with the director for shortchanging you.This move has diminished his star status to a huge length,but on the up side Manoj's standiong shot up a great deal.Now that's what I call a kararajawab,what say Manoj.
Claws come out for Anupam
Apart from the makers of Raajneeti who are grinning like cheshire cats after delivering a huge hit,Anupam Kher too is a happy man.He is deeply touched with being awarded the Presidential Award at the recently concluded IIFA Awards held in Sri Lanka.He was felicitated with the prestigious Sri Lankan Award for his contribution to cinema.As you all are well aware,the industry is a very cattyplace,so not many were thrilled with Anupam getting this honour.Many disgruntled folks have been asking each other"What contribution?"Everybody concedes he brought a fresh and natural approach to acting but that was ages ago- before he started hamming his way through his films.Now that's such a horrid thing to say,may be he should get back to his good old acting just to justify the award to all those naysayers.
SRK iraked with Gauri?
More than the stars who got awards at this year’s IIFA, the ones who stole the limelight are the people who bunked the event. Both, the Bachchans and SRK were sorely missed and everyone was speculating about what the true reason behind them giving the event a skip was. While the Bachchans may have stayed away since they didn’t want anybody troubling the smooth release of Raavan, was it Salman Khan’s presence that made SRK not show up. Not really, say my party animal friends. According to them SRK is a very worried man these days. And his concern is very personal. According to the gossip doing the rounds in all the happening clubs of Mumbai, Gauri Khan’s partying and drinking are now getting a bit out of hand and more so when she cannot handle her drinks. SRK, as everybody knows, is very protective about his children and wants them to grow up well, without being exposed to unsavoury influences. But what does he do if the “wrong influence” begins at home?
Walking the extra mile
Everyone in the film industry is worrying about something or the other. Fortunately, most of them just have trivial issues like, “How can I always be next to a good gym even while travelling?” Seriously guys, whatever happens you can’t keep our health conscious film stars away from the gym for long. Hrithik Roshan set up a gym in faraway Karjat at the ND Studios when he was shooting for Jodha Akbar. And most of the stars make use of the gym in the hotels they are put up in.
But Salman Khan has to be different. Shooting in the sleepy hill station of Panchgani, he found the hotel gym not quite to his standard and he decided that it was way too much work to set up a temporary gym to his liking a la Hrithik. So he simply decided to do the next best thing — walk to the location. Known to cycle or even jog all the way to the studios in Mumbai, walking in the picturesque hill station was a cakewalk for him. What was even better was that others in the unit decided to walk with him as well. Now everybody in the unit is fit as a fiddle, actually it’s second fiddle really.
